A successful pitch to create the visual identity for Emerge Festival from concept stage through to designing all collateral. Emerge is festival of night-time events held in museums and galleries to inspire a new generation to fall in love with museums. The branding concept centred around questioning reality through distortion, transforming the museum space as a way to get lost in art and culture - appealing to a youth audience but also putting museums at the centre.

  • How do you inspire a new generation to fall in love with museums and galleries? Emerge is festival of night-time events that needed a brand identity that appealed to a youth audience to get them through the door.

  • We need to change perceptions. We need to transform the spaces to make them appeal to a younger audience, both through the programmed events and the visual identity itself, whilst putting museums and galleries at the center.

  • An identity centred around transforming spaces and questioning reality through distortion, the concept literally sees the venues morph and spin as a 3D prism ( each with their own unique version) - transforming the museum space as a way to get lost in art and culture.
